Argos is an island nation in the Western Sea, and the last remaining colony of the ancient Atalantian Empire. Argos is the westernmost point of civilization, corresponding to present day Azores. The Argosseans are the world's greatest sailors and generally keep the route to Argos secret. Argos is the bitter enemy and rival of the Pirates of Zingara on the Western Coast of Iberia and the Bay of Biscay.

The name comes from the Argo, ship of the Argonauts; or perhaps from the city of Argos, Argolis, Peloponnesos, Greece.
